Nevada - Digital Montage

Here's a couple of the 'get something started' files:
..

A desert carousel...
If you've got a few moments, 'take a ride', OK?
You won't regret it.

Another 'apparition'...
or should I call it a 'hallucination'?

At my 'more than part-time, but less than full time' day job,
I do a whole lot of 'color correcting' and tweaking, for digital printing.
I guess I could do that to the above images...
But that doesn't seem to be an appropriate,
intelligent answer to the questions posed by the images.

I am awaiting further inspiration...

I don't know about this guy...

he's a wandering soul!

"When times are good, people live in valleys...
when times are bad?...people head to the hills."
(an old saying, not sure where it comes from, but it rings true.)

This was my first very rudimantary pass at using this petroglyph.

But the reason I make these "first very rudimantary pass" images
is to get the ball rolling, and have something to look at,
and think about.

This one definitely snowballed on me...
and ended up looking like this:

The only 'trick' here is that the 3rd from top layer (Layer2 copy, the compass)
is on 'lighten' in the layer options choices.
Other than that, it's just a whole lot of duplicating layers,
saving the original imported layer, resizing & and erasing intelligently & tastefully.

A whole of everything has to do w/ 'intelligence... and taste',
doesn't it?
