Driftwood face

 

Here's the three images that went onto this one....

The sky:
(yeah, I've used this one before.. but it has great texture and 'flow',
so why not use it again? Yes, I 'flopped' it horizontally.)


The driftwood -
Another great texture, it screams for.. something else!

Finally, the inscrutable totem face...

 

Here's the photoshop sketch:

it seemed a little bit too loose to me,
the head needs to be more firmly connected to the driftwood.

 

Above is the exposure of the driftwood, roughly speaking.
This was the first exposure.

Next, I added the totem face, sort of like this:

 

 

Last but not least, the sky:

It's been a few months since I did his print, but I'm pretty sure
That I used the below-the-lense filter tray to hold back the sky evenly
from left to right, and then used the 'spatula' tool to dodge
out the space where the face went.
