Nevada - December, 2008 - Part 2

Sunrise in Mojave, CA., 12/23/08.
For me, this town has always been a halfway point, between the
'coastal California' I live in (about 6-7 hrs. drive away),
and the various deserts, to the east.
Looking back(west) while driving east, out of Mojave.
(The same goes for the following 2 images.)

Finally, 'in Nevada'! (after a lot of driving...)
Above, somewhere in the vicinity of Valley of Fire.
This is the 'tinaja' at the end of a trail,
in Valley of Fire.
The red rock just to right of center looks like a 'hammer' of sorts.
Whenever I see something like this, my first question is always:
"How did it become like this?"
Many questions just don't have any answers.
Be happy to be alive here & now,
and be able to marvel at the world we live in.
